Her name is pronounced Hoo-hoo-uh-lee, but maybe it should be Hoop-hoo-uh-lee the way the 5-foot-8 junior plays. She had 41 points in a 66-55 win against Clearfield (Clearfield, Pa.) last week and is averaging 29.5 per game. Hoohuli also had 30 and 34 points last week in two other St. Marys wins.

Player of the Year
Tierney Pfirman, South Williamsport: A lot of hype surrounded Pfirman as she approached her freshman season last year and she surpassed it, helping South capture its first district championship in 10 years while earning all-state honors. Pfirman, who played all five positions at some point, averaged 15.7 points, seven rebounds, 4.6 steals and 3.5 assists per game while helping South go undefeated in Heartland-III play. The 6-foot sophomore can do a little bit of everything inside or outside and scored in double figures 25 times while helping the Mounties make a 14-win improvement. Pfirman played a lot of basketball over the summer and could be poised for an even better year as she tries helping South build on last season's success.
